Alyssa and Yair Meyers live their lives according to the above quote. They are involved in many organizations including TBDJ, Kollel Torah Mitzion, Hebrew Academy, MADA, Federation CJA, and Emunah, where Alyssa was a recipient of the Lilly Ronn Young Leadership Award. 

 

When the pandemic hit hard in Montreal, Alyssa and Yair decided it was important to show appreciation to the healthcare workers who work tirelessly every day with smiles on their faces. They created a group called Merci Muffins. With the help of many bakers and volunteers, they delivered baked goods to hundreds of healthcare heroes on a weekly basis. In addition, they organized for letters to be written to seniors in different CHSLDs and long-term care facilities so they would not feel so alone. They believe that small, simple acts of kindness will make people feel happy, good, and appreciated.

 

Alyssa and Yair lead by example, not only for their three sons, Jacob, Ami and Yoni but for all of us.
